California Post Grad Welcomes Canadian Two-Way Athlete Joshua Tobacca for 2025-2026 Season
California Post Grad Baseball is excited to announce the signing of Joshua Tobacca, a 2025 graduate from GP Vanier High School in British Columbia, Canada, and a member of the Parksville Royals travel program. A left-handed hitting and throwing athlete, Tobacca brings strong tools and two-way upside as a first baseman, outfielder, and pitcher.
At 6’0”, 170 lbs, Tobacca is a highly athletic player with measurable tools that stand out: a 92 mph exit velocity, 70 mph bat speed, and a 6.9 60-yard dash. His left-handed bat brings power and speed to the California Post Grad lineup, while his defensive versatility and ability to pitch from the left side add significant value to the roster.
“Joshua is one of those players who jumps out at you with his raw tools,” said Casey Dill, Director of Baseball Operations. “A 92 exit velo from the left side with that kind of speed gives him a serious chance to impact the game in multiple ways. As he continues to grow and develop in our system, the ceiling is incredibly high.”
Head Coach Zack Novis added, “What I love about Josh is his ability to compete all over the field. He’s a true athlete with left-handed power and speed—and those guys are tough to find. He brings energy, versatility, and a great work ethic. We’re excited to help him take the next step in his development.”
With high-level tools, a dynamic skill set, and international experience, Joshua Tobacca is poised to be a major contributor to California Post Grad’s 2025-2026 class.
