California Post Grad Adds Dynamic Two-Way Player Cocoro Tomonari for 2025-2026 Season
California Post Grad is excited to announce the signing of Cocoro "Coco" Tomonari, a 2025 graduate from Coronado High School (Nevada) and a member of the Golden Spikes 18U program. A high-motor athlete with a unique skill set, Tomonari joins CPG as a two-way player with both offensive and defensive upside.
Though he stands at 5’7” and 137 lbs, Tomonari consistently produces impressive power numbers, with a verified 89 mph exit velocity, 70+ mph bat speed, and a 7.1 60-yard dash. His athleticism allows him to generate power beyond his frame, making him a constant offensive threat. On the pitching side, Coco brings a developing arm in the upper 70s to low 80s, and as he continues to grow and strengthen physically, that number is expected to rise.
“Coco is the kind of player you don’t overlook,” said Zack Novis, Head Coach of California Post Grad. “He might be smaller in stature, but he plays big. He’s got real bat speed, a strong feel for the game, and a motor that doesn’t stop. He’s going to be a fun player to work with.”
Casey Dill, Director of Baseball Operations, added, “What makes Coco stand out is his ability to compete. He has the tools, the athleticism, and the work ethic. There’s plenty of projection left in his arm and his body, and we’re confident that with our strength and development program, he’ll take major steps forward. He’s the type of athlete who thrives in our environment.”
With high upside, elite effort, and a strong foundation of skills, Cocoro Tomonari brings energy, versatility, and excitement to California Post Grad’s 2025-2026 roster.
